Hey, I'm Angus (they/them) – an advertising creative from Sydney (Eora) currently working at BMF. My past lives include: being a retoucher, CGI and VFX artist, live music manager and working in reality TV. Now, I'm partnered up with Alana Koutoulas and we're making work as art-director-and-copywriter-slashies.
My taste sits somewhere between bright, brash and beautifully dumb. That doesn't just mean being the loudest poster on the street, it means commanding the room by being interesting, funny, and clever.
My idols range from the Pope of Trash, John Waters, to the King of Venereal Horror, David Cronenberg, and of course the Princess of Pop, Kylie Minogue.
But back to work stuff. From running training presentations to educate people on genderqueerness (using Shrek to explain the entire thing, of course), to developing an Acknowledgement of Country film with First Nations production company Blackfisch, and now sitting on the BMF cultural transformation committee, I've been a huge part of shaping the culture at BMF.
